
It all started on a sunny Saturday afternoon when I decided to take a leisurely stroll downtown. It was one of those perfect days: the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and life felt unusually manageable. That is, until I rounded the corner and ran straight into none other than Winnie the Pooh.
Yes, the Winnie the Pooh. Honey jar in hand, smile on his face, and—oddly enough—wearing what looked like a makeshift warrior helmet made out of an overturned flower pot.
Now, I know Pooh is a fellow warrior, and he knows my story. For 20 years, I struggled with Bipolar, Alcoholism, Anxiety Disorders, and PTSD—challenges that left me feeling so powerless that I tried to end my life. But with a second chance, I created the Mental Health Warrior Program—a groundbreaking SELF-HELP approach to help everyone take charge of their emotions, triumph over challenges, and build the life they truly want.
“Hello there!” Pooh said cheerfully, dusting off his bright red shirt. “I was just about to give a speech about being a Mental Health Warrior. Care to join me?”
Before I could fully process the absurdity of it all, Pooh had already plopped down on a nearby park bench, patting the spot next to him. How could I refuse?

As I sat down, Pooh adjusted his flower pot helmet and dove straight into his newfound passion for mental health.

“Oh no—it’s about finding strength, taking small, sustainable steps each day, and looking back to see PROGRESS, not regret!”
Then he held up three pudgy fingers. “And I’ve discovered three benefits that’ll make you feel quite splendid!”

“First,” Pooh said, leaning in conspiratorially, “being a Mental Health Warrior gives you clarity in chaos.
Do you know how hard it is to keep track of honey pots when Tigger is bouncing everywhere?
Or when Rabbit is yelling about cabbages? It’s enough to make a bear’s head spin!”
